When the mechanic Charles Fey invented the first slot machine in 1895, it wasn't made for gamblers in the casinos.

Fey named his slot machine "Liberty Bell". The "Liberty Bell" was left in his auto shop in San Francisco.

Fey's intention was to chase away the boredom of his clients when they waited for

their cars to be repaired. The slot machine became so popular that some casinos started to buy more machines

like that one. The casinos tried to fill the time of gamblers when the tables were busy.
